Brocéliande

Brocéliande by Sora Dora is a captivating citrus gourmand with a dark, animalic twist. Inspired by the mystery of the legendary Brocéliande forest, it contrasts sparkling citrus, warm spices and indulgent sweetness with an unexpectedly sensual, woody base.

The fragrance opens with a vibrant combination of Italian bergamot, lime and lemon, immediately energized by ginger and coriander. As it develops, iris, Ceylon cinnamon and sesame create a warm, powdery and slightly toasted heart.

The drydown reveals Brocéliande's more provocative side. Vanilla, caramel and rum bring a rich gourmand sweetness, while styrax, castoreum and civet introduce smoky, resinous and animalic depth. The contrast makes Brocéliande much more intriguing than a traditional citrus-vanilla fragrance.

What It Smells Like

Brocéliande begins bright, zesty and almost mouthwatering, with sharp lemon and lime softened by sweet bergamot. Ginger and coriander give the citrus a spicy, aromatic edge.

Then it becomes warmer and more gourmand. Cinnamon, creamy iris, vanilla and caramel create an impression reminiscent of a sophisticated citrus dessert with warm spices and a splash of dark rum.

But the drydown is what makes it unusual. Beneath that sweetness appears a smoky, musky, slightly animalic quality from castoreum, civet and styrax. Some wearers experience it as distinctly animalic, while others perceive primarily a sweet citrus-vanilla fragrance with only a subtle darker undertone.
