Kamel Oud by Sora Dora is a powerful, charismatic woody fragrance that explores the richness of oud through spice, resin, red fruits and smoky woods. Inspired by the perfumer house’s connection to the oriental olfactory tradition, it combines the intensity of Laotian oud with an unexpectedly elegant fruity-spicy character.

The opening is bright yet immediately spicy, with bergamot, pink pepper, elemi and cardamom. At the heart, saffron and cumin bring warmth and depth while rose and raspberry introduce a rich red-fruit sweetness. The fragrance settles into a dark, textured base of Laotian oud, guaiac wood, Atlas cedar, papyrus and labdanum, creating a smoky, leathery and resinous finish.

What It Smells Like

Kamel Oud smells dark, smoky, spicy and woody, with an intriguing touch of juicy raspberry.

The opening has a fresh resinous brightness before cardamom, cumin and saffron quickly introduce an unmistakable warm oriental spice. Raspberry and rose soften the composition, providing a subtle fruity sweetness against the darker woods.

As it dries down, the fragrance becomes increasingly dry, smoky and leathery. Oud is surrounded by cedar, guaiac wood and papyrus, while labdanum adds an ambery resinous warmth. The result is not a sugary gourmand oud; it is rich, sophisticated and assertive, with the red fruit providing contrast rather than dominating the fragrance.
