Let's Pretend by Etat Libre d'Orange is a 2026 unisex fragrance created by perfumer Nisrine Bouazzaoui Grillié. It celebrates the brand's 20th anniversary and is built around the idea that fragrance can become an "invisible costume"—a way to explore different facets of your personality.

How it smells

The opening is bright and sparkling, with juicy mandarin lifted by pink pepper and a smooth saffron spice. Within minutes, the fragrance becomes centered on a realistic, velvety peach—not candy-like, but soft, ripe, and elegant. Osmanthus adds an apricot-like, slightly suede nuance, while jasmine sambac gives the heart a luminous floral richness.

As it dries down, the scent becomes warmer and creamier. Benzoin, cedar, and styrax provide a resinous, woody finish, while Akigalawood adds a refined peppery-woody texture. The overall effect is polished, modern, and quietly sensual rather than loud or overly sweet.
