The Story

Seminalis was released in 2016 by Orto Parisi, the house of perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, who calls it the house's first stimulus in a fragrance bottle. It is designed as a tribute to life and built around bourgeonal, an aromatic aldehyde with a lily-of-the-valley character that the house links to the biology of attraction and conception. The effect pairs sweet, creamy tones with a slightly synthetic edge.

How It Smells

Opening
Creamy, strange and immediately fascinating, with a lactonic accord that feels milky, smooth and slightly sweet. The first impression is intimate rather than loud: soft warmth, skin-like musk and a subtle synthetic sheen that feels futuristic and provocative.

Heart
More textured and addictive. Carnation, lily of the valley and raspberry add a floral-fruity glow beneath the creamy surface. Many wearers describe milky sandalwood, warm skin, soft vanilla or a sensual clean-dirty contrast, and it changes dramatically from person to person.

Dry Down
Smooth, musky and deeply sensual, with cedar, leather, patchouli, sandalwood, sugar and vanilla. It settles into a warm second-skin scent that feels erotic, comforting and strangely magnetic. Less aggressive than some Orto Parisi releases, but highly memorable.
