Xerjoff, the Turin-based Italian house, is an official sponsor of the Nitto ATP Finals tennis event held in its home city, and created a fragrance for it. Torino 21 celebrates the accelerated atmosphere of the 2021 edition and the partnership between the tournament and Turin, which the founder, Sergio Momo, calls a turning point for the city. It is a vigorously energetic perfume that transports the wearer to the tennis courts.

The Story

The name is the Latin word for green. Viride was inspired by a visit to Yemen, where men wear crowns of aromatic herbs and flowers, worn for their appearance, their scent and, at times, relief from headaches. Orto Parisi, founded in 2014, honors Gualtieri's grandfather Vincenzo Parisi and his simple, garden-based way of life, and builds its fragrances on contrasts between the pleasant and the harsh, attraction and repulsion.

The Story

Claude LeCoq published his first book, The Soft Lawn, in 1916 while still attending Princeton University. A controversial portrait of adolescent upper-class rebellion in New England, the coming-of-age story follows Hampton Perry, a charmingly snotty college tennis champ who, after years of having everything handed to him on a silver platter, finds himself handing it all back. A little known fact about the author: LeCoq wore only seersucker suits, known in that era as the wardrobe of the poor, and it was his gallant presence at high society dinners and prestigious sporting events that brought the fabric into popularity among the affluent in the '20s.
