Nostalgia transformed into luxury: baked apples, golden caramel and buttery pastry. Jany is an Extrait de Parfum from Sora Dora, a gourmand built from baked apple, caramel, puff pastry, soft stone fruit and creamy vanilla. Warm, indulgent and richly gourmand yet refined, it is comfort dressed in elegance.

The Story

Jany takes its name from Antoine Sora Dora's daughter, who bakes tarte tatin, and recalls the family's cakes, madeleines and cookies, with echoes of summer afternoons and childhood snacks. Sora Dora is the French house begun by Antoine, who left Portugal for Provence in 1920 and worked as head gardener at a jasmine farm near Grasse.

How It Smells

Opening
Like a warm French pastry fresh from the oven: baked apple, caramelized sugar, soft Ceylon cinnamon and buttery puff pastry. It has a realistic tarte tatin quality, but with a refined niche elegance rather than a candle-like sweetness.

Heart
Peach, apricot and plum add a juicy richness, while osmanthus brings a soft, velvety floral facet that keeps it more complex than a standard gourmand.

Dry Down
Vanilla, almond, caramel and white musk melt into a creamy skin scent: cozy, delicious and comforting.

Absolutely, i need the full bottle. This is gourmand but that wearable type not in your face very offensive gourmand. This is real nice at the opening, you get that baked apple pie but a few mins later it dries down to a skin like scent and its powdery. I enjoyed this to the max

I’m going to be brutally honest with this review so I’ll start with the bad aspects- when I first received my order of Jany despite the fragrance being packaged beautifully and coming with its own cloth too- the scent was atrocious. For the first 2 weeks all I smelled was juicy apples for approximately 3 seconds before my nostrils were filled with burning incense and smoky paper.
However after those few weeks of letting Jany macerate untouched, she has developed into this gorgeous, delectable spicy caramelized apple and peach fragrance I was expecting. On me the longevity is around 6 hours if you spray moderately, projection is kind of intimate after 2 hours, but it’s gorgeous.
