Amouage Overture 41 is a 2026 amber woody spicy Exceptional Extrait by perfumer Annick Ménardo: 41% perfume oil, aged six weeks, built on saffron, Calvados and rose over frankincense, benzoin, sandalwood and leather, with vanilla, labdanum and patchouli underneath. It takes the original Overture Woman to the grand scale.
What is Amouage Overture 41?
Overture 41 joins Amouage's Exceptional Extraits collection alongside Decision 42. Each one revisits an existing Amouage fragrance at a higher concentration and with longer ageing, pushing the ingredients further rather than simply thinning out the formula. The number is the concentration: 41% perfume oil, aged for six weeks (four of maturation and two of maceration).
It continues the story of Overture Woman, in which a young understudy steps in for an unwell Grand Diva. In the Extrait, she has become a legend. Amouage says it carries that story forward with an entirely new passion and vibrancy.

The sandalwood drèches is a re-distilled absolute made from upcycled sandalwood chips, which enriches the rose. A sweet, resinous amber accord, absent from the original Eau de Parfum, joins the base.
How does Overture 41 smell?
It opens warm, spicy and smoky: saffron and cinnamon with a boozy Calvados glow over frankincense. The heart is resinous and rosy, with benzoin and sandalwood giving the rose a velvety, woody depth. The drydown turns darker and smoother, with leather, labdanum, patchouli and vanilla. Amouage's own description: a wood-paneled room filled with incense, polished leather and lingering spice.
The bottle
Like Decision 42, Overture 41 comes in a more dramatic version of Amouage's signature flacon, with rich amber inner lacquer and an exterior designed by Belgian artist Louise Mertens, finished with a shimmer of gold dust. It is sold in 100ml.

Who is Overture 41 for?
It suits anyone who likes dark, spiced and boozy fragrances with rose and leather, and wants something with presence. The notes point to fall and winter and to evening wear. Because it is new, there is little wear-time data from reviewers yet. At 41% concentration, a few sprays go a long way, and a sample on skin is the best test.
