The Story
Part of Sorcinelli's UNUM collection, the fragrance takes its inspiration from Maria Callas, the "Divina", in the mad scene of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at La Scala in the 1950s. Sorcinelli follows the character's shifting emotional states, from the mystery of incense and cedar to the sensuality of peach and clove, and on to the darker, more intense tones of patchouli, tonka and fir balsam, in a tribute that is melancholic and shadowy.
How It Smells
Opening
Radiant, slightly powdery florals alongside incense, lily of the valley and cedarwood create an immediate sense of light.
Heart
Cloves and peach, as Sorcinelli's signature incense rises with a smoky, spiritual layer.
Dry Down
Warmer and smoother: incense, balsamic fir, labdanum, vetiver, patchouli, tonka bean and vanilla form a rich, enveloping aura.
