Contre Bombarde 32
Regular price $264.00The low, vibrating note of a cathedral organ. Contre Bombarde 32 by Filippo Sorcinelli translates sound into scent. This incense-led extrait de parfum blends smoky incense, dense woods and shadowy accords into a composition that feels vast and commanding.
The Story
Contre Bombarde 32 comes from Sorcinelli's Extraits de Musique collection, a tribute to the Grand Orgue of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, in which each perfume is named for a stop of the organ and the bottles echo its drawbars. This one recalls the centuries-old smells of resin, wax and aged wood: bitter orange peel, elemi and juniper suggest unburned resin and damp stone in a gloomy European cathedral, cedar evokes old church pews, and a smoked, toffee-like amber closes with an unexpected sweetness. It is a brooding, atmospheric scent that balances the rough with the smooth.
