B683 EDP
Regular price $427.00About the perfumer – Quentin Bisch →
Saffron, suede and violet leaf: the leather that started it all. Marc-Antoine Barrois B683 Eau de Parfum is the fragrance that launched the house into the niche perfume world before Ganymede became a global phenomenon. Created by Quentin Bisch, it is darker, warmer and more classically elegant than Ganymede, built around spicy saffron leather, woods, violet leaf and mineral amber accords.
The Story
B683 was released in 2016 as the first perfume of the Maison Marc-Antoine Barrois, founded by the French couturier of that name, who opened his Paris boutique in 2013. Created with Quentin Bisch, it is described as both heady and restrained, with a leather note inspired by childhood memories of objects such as attaché cases and desk blotters, evoking the designer’s world of contemporary design.
How It Smells
Opening
A rich, spicy burst of black pepper, saffron, chili and nutmeg.
Heart
Almost immediately a smooth suede-leather texture appears, wrapped in violet leaf and cistus, with warm woods beneath. The fragrance feels refined, luxurious and slightly mysterious.
Dry Down
Musk, Moheli vanilla, amber, sandalwood and patchouli ground the leather in a warm, woody base, with ambroxan and oakmoss giving it a mineral, earthy depth.
