Finger lime, bergamot and tomato leaf spark the opening, while black tea, cypriol, incense and ambroxan give it a dry, modern, mineral-woody depth. Created by perfumer Paul Guerlain.
The Story
Conceived as a coastal road trip in scent, 005 Riviera Absolue takes the familiar idea of a summer citrus fragrance and gives it texture, depth and character. It launched in 2026 as a unisex extrait de parfum, fresh yet substantial, with considerably more personality than a traditional citrus cologne.
How It Smells
Opening
An electric burst of finger lime, Italian bergamot and a caviar lime accord, sharpened by the crisp green edge of tomato leaf so the citrus never turns conventionally sweet.
Heart
Moroccan neroli adds floral refinement while ginger and cool, aromatic cardamom bring an elegant spicy energy.
Dry Down
Black tea, cypriol, olibanum, frankincense and ambroxan form a dry, slightly smoky, mineral-woody trail that contrasts beautifully with the luminous opening.
