Bitter dark chocolate dusted with chili, over leather and skin. Boccanera by Orto Parisi is dark temptation in fragrance form. Bitter cacao, burning spice, sensual musk, supple leather and warm woods collide in a scent that feels provocative, luxurious and unforgettable: boldly seductive, a trail of dangerous elegance. Orto Parisi is the house of perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri.
The Story
Boccanera is a gourmand inspired by dark chocolate with chili, meant to balance taste and scent, attraction and unease. The name means dark mouth in Italian. Orto Parisi, founded in 2014 as a tribute to Gualtieri's grandfather Vincenzo Parisi, treats the body as a garden whose scents reflect the soul, and explores contrasts between pleasant and harsh, attraction and repulsion.
How It Smells
Opening
Dark, spicy and immediately seductive, with black pepper, chili pepper, ginger and cacao. It feels like bitter dark chocolate dusted with hot spice: warm, sensual and slightly dangerous.
Heart
More intimate. A soft jasmine nuance appears beneath the spicy cocoa accord, while chocolate, musk, leather and patchouli rise, a sensual contrast between gourmand darkness and raw, skin-like warmth. It is deep, smooth and very classy, with a dark chocolate character.
Dry Down
Warm and animalic, with chocolate, musk, woods, vanilla and leather staying close to the skin. It smells erotic, mysterious and powerfully addictive.
