Vilhelm Parfumerie Morning Chess is a sharp, sophisticated Eau de Parfum in which sparkling bergamot meets smooth Tuscan leather, green galbanum, earthy patchouli and dark amber warmth. Polished, ambitious and effortlessly refined, it is clean yet commanding, modern yet classic. It was composed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette.

The Story

Inspired by crisp Scandinavian mornings and timeless elegance, the fragrance draws on founder Jan Vilhelm Ahlgren's childhood summers at his grandfather's cottage, where they played chess, and on the green, grassy scent of the Swedish coast. Vilhelm Parfumerie has a Swedish name and New York roots, and its fragrances are created in Paris.

How It Smells

Opening
Bright bergamot, fresh, citrusy and uplifting.

Heart
Tuscan leather adds a smooth, luxurious richness, while galbanum brings a green, slightly bitter sharpness that keeps it crisp and modern.

Dry Down
Patchouli and black amber create woody depth and warm sensuality. The overall effect is fresh, green, leathery and powerful, with a polished executive air.
