The Story

Jany takes its name from Antoine Sora Dora's daughter, who bakes tarte tatin, and recalls the family's cakes, madeleines and cookies, with echoes of summer afternoons and childhood snacks. Sora Dora is the French house begun by Antoine, who left Portugal for Provence in 1920 and worked as head gardener at a jasmine farm near Grasse.

The Story

Perfumer Aurélien Guichard, founder of Matière Première, imagined a dark vanilla bean painted white: a deep, supple vanilla with a salty facet, contrasted with modern white powders. The extrait raises the dosage of the hero ingredient, vanilla absolute from Fair for Life land in Madagascar, and adds a guest ingredient, Venezuelan tonka bean absolute, which unveils a new and unexpected facet of the original.

The Story

Guidance 46 takes its name from its 46% perfume oil concentration, making it richer, smoother and more powerful than the original. Amouage presents it as a study in light and shade, fragility and strength, subtlety and ostentatiousness, and ages it for four weeks (two of maceration, two of maturation).
