Guidance by Amouage, released in 2023 and created by perfumer Quentin Bisch, became an instant sensation for its blend of pear, hazelnut, sambac jasmine, rose, saffron, sandalwood and creamy woods. The Story

Guidance reinterprets Amouage's signature triad of rose, frankincense and ambergris, reading, as the house puts it, like a poem and smelling like an embrace. The delicate strength of femininity is its theme, told in a dreamlike progression from a sweet, nutty opening, through a garden of osmanthus, rose and saffron, to a warm, enveloping base.

Guidance turned into pure luxury armor. Guidance 46 by Amouage is the intensified Exceptional Extrait of the iconic Guidance, created by Quentin Bisch and launched in 2024. Pear, rose water, hazelnut and bitter almond open into rose, osmanthus, saffron and sambac jasmine, resting on a creamy, woody base of sandalwood, vanilla and ambergris.

The Story

Guidance 46 takes its name from its 46% perfume oil concentration, making it richer, smoother and more powerful than the original. Amouage presents it as a study in light and shade, fragility and strength, subtlety and ostentatiousness, and ages it for four weeks (two of maceration, two of maturation).

Zoologist Moth opens with a heavy dose of dark spices, settles into honeyed rose and powdery florals, and trails away over oud, guaiac wood, nagarmotha and smoke. Perfumer Tomoo Inaba composed it for Zoologist Perfumes, which released it in 2018.

The Story

Their days are spent secluded in camouflage, the intricate patterns of their wings disguising them against a coarse backdrop of bark and rock. When they finally stir, even their flight is concealed beneath the cover of night. Moonlight ripples off a delicate coating of tiny hairs as feathered antennae guide them in search of a mate, yet one temptation can lure them from their quest: should they succumb to the flame, the urge to procreate may be quashed in a wisp of smoke and a smattering of ashes. At first encounter, the rich, gothic scent of Zoologist Moth may surprise, but soon it hypnotizes.
